Government Polytechnic Narendra Nagar was situated in the valley of nature, was established by Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1975 with a view to fullfill the needs of man-power in technology for the state and country.

The Institute is situated 10 Km away from the Rishikesh on National Highway – 94 (Rishikesh to Yamunotri). It is well connected through road and rail network. The nearest railway station is Rishikesh 10 Km far from the Institute and the nearest airport is Jollygrant(Dehradun) which is about 25 Km far from the Institute.

The simplest and most economical way to reach the Institute is by bus/traker. Any Bus/traker of New Tehri route at Natraj chowk(Rishikesh) will take you to the Institute. The journey time from Natraj chowk will be around 30 minutes.
